What to Expect During Your Session

Where are sessions held? Sessions are held in a private, home-base studio designed to support calm, comfort, and confidentiality. Full arrival details are provided after booking.

How long is a session? Sessions typically last 60-90 minutes, with extended 2-3 hour sessions available for those seeking more intensive support.

What should I wear? Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You'll remain fully clothed throughout the session.

Will I be lying down? Yes, sessions are performed on a comfortable massage table. If you have mobility concerns or pain issues, please let Heather know in advance so accommodations can be made.

Will there be physical touch? Reiki can be performed with light, static hand placements or with hands hovering just above the body. Let Heather know your preference before the session begins. All hand placements follow standard protocols and avoid sensitive areas.

What will I feel during the session? Most people experience deep relaxation and a sense of peace. You may feel warmth, tingling, or subtle energy at the hand placements—or you may feel nothing at all. Each person's experience is unique. Some clients fall asleep, which is perfectly fine; you'll still receive the full benefits of the session.

Is there talking during the session? Sessions are generally quiet, with soft ambient music to support your relaxation. However, please speak up at any time if you need something adjusted—temperature, music volume, positioning, or if you have questions.

Your first visit Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first session so we can discuss your wellness goals, complete any necessary paperwork, and ensure you're comfortable with the process.

After your session Drink plenty of water and consider spending some quiet time that evening to journal or reflect. Many people experience continued clarity and insights as their body integrates the session. You'll be fully alert to drive, though you may feel more grounded and centered than when you arrived.

If you're feeling ill As a courtesy to others, please reschedule if you have a contagious illness. Reiki will still be here when you're well.
